Description
The Grainger County Sheriff's Office arrested five people after law enforcement busted a home in Rutledge for prostitution.
On Thursday afternoon, law enforcement raided a house located at 3422 Highway 92.
Several living near the home said they were shocked when they heard what investigators said had been taking place at the home, but a couple of people said they did witness some unusual activity.
"It was prompted by complaints in the neighborhood of a lot of traffic in and out of the residence and also by the backpage.com," said Grainger County Chief Deputy James Harville.
Inside the home officials found marijuana, cocaine, stolen property, and evidence of a prostitution operation. The stolen property included a pistol, motorcycle, and food preparation trailer.
Law enforcement also found a 13-year-old teen inside the home, but officials haven't revealed why the teenager was at the house.
Deputies charged the homeowner, 46-year-old Rhonda Robinson, with trafficking for commercial sex act, along with drug, theft, and weapons charges.
Stephen Luttrell, 42, of Knoxville and Carl Sellers, 41, of Knoxville were charged with patronizing prostitution. Luttrell was also charged with child neglect.
Deputies also arrested an Ohio woman for prostitution and Jose Martinez, 26, of Knoxville on drug charges.
Since a teenager was inside the home, the sheriff's office said the Department of Children Services is also involved in the investigation.
