Description
Four people have been arrested following a raid at a massage parlor in Green Hills.
Metro police raided the Green and King Massage Spa in the 4100 block of Hillsboro Pike on Thursday afternoon.
Police said an employee initiated a sex act on a male police operative. The act was stopped and the operative left the building.
The operator of the business has been identified as 27-year-old Hu Rui of Brentwood. Warrants are being sought charging him with promoting prostitution and conspiracy to commit prostitution.
Three female employees were also arrested. Warrants are being sought charging 49-year-old Gulian Peng, 52-year-old Li Shaofang and 45-year-old Chen Fang with prostitution.
All four are believed to be from China. Police said the women understood very little English. Assistant District Attorney Antoinette Welch said her office is looking into whether these women are victims of sex trafficking.
Police said the investigation began after complaints from the community about potential illegal activities occurring at the business.
In February, Metro detectives raided four Nashville massage businesses after receiving complaints and determining that sex acts were being performed for money. Ten people were arrested in those raids.
