Description
Two sisters used a knife and taser to force an 18-year-old to perform sex acts on strangers over several months and hand over all the money earned, Metro police say.
Gabrielle Whittaker, 18, and Shanice Whittaker, 23, were charged with trafficking for a commercial sex act.
According to arrest affidavits, Metro police were called Tuesday to Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital where the teenage victim disclosed that she had been forced to prostitute herself by the sisters.
The victim told investigators that the women picked her up in Clarksville and brought her to Nashville, where they made her have sex with a man she did not know in exchange for money, the paperwork states.
She told officers this happened multiple times over the last several months and said the sisters would use a knife and taser to threaten to harm her if she did not make enough money or if she attempted to leave.
When the suspects were interviewed by detectives, police said they claimed they would drive the victim around Nashville and she would engage in prostitution while they served as her "protection."
Officers said they found nude photos of the victim on Shanice Whittaker's phone and that Shanice Whittaker admitted that Gabrielle Whittaker had a knife and taser.
Both women were arrested and booked into the Metro jail. Their bonds were set at $100,000.
