Description
An investigation into a personal services ad placed on the Internet led to Thursday night’s arrest of three Minnesota residents who are accused of bringing a 17-year-old girl to Nashville to engage in prostitution.
James Faircloth, 21, of Champlin, Minnesota, Arraury Arnice, 38, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, and her daughter, Ayanna Harris, 18, also of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, are all charged with trafficking the 17-year-old for sexual servitude.
Through their response to the Internet ad, undercover officers met the 17-year-old, who is also from Minnesota, earlier this week in a Harding Place area motel room. The investigation, headed by Detective Matt Dixon of the Specialized Investigations Division, showed that the teenager had been traveling with the defendants through several states engaging in prostitution.
The group is believed to have arrived in Nashville at the first of the week.
Due to the human trafficking aspect of this case, the FBI is also a part of the investigation, which remains open and active. The 17-year-old is in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.
Harris is jailed in lieu of $60,000 bond. Bond for Faircloth and Arnice is set at $50,000.
