Underage Sex Trafficking of Step-Daughter, Man Arrested

MEMPHIS, TN - A man has been arrested after a 14-year-old girl on a known prostitution strip in Memphis was stopped by police.

According to an affidavit, the victim was in the area of 3896 Lamar trying to flag down cars when police stopped to speak with her. The victim told police that 23-year-old Justin Parson, her step-father, had first started sleeping with her in March of 2011.

The victim said Parson forced her to sell her body for $45 to $50, and made her sleep with a Hispanic man for $45 on June 6, 2011. She said Parson took her virginity while he was living with her mother and sister in Covington, TN.

Parson told the victim's mother he was going to take the victim to Memphis to get some money.

The victim said she became suspicious of the situation when Parsons picked up another man and checked into a hotel in Memphis. The victim said she was taking a shower in the hotel when Parson and the other man entered the shower and sexually abused her.

Parson has been charged with statutory rape by an authority figure, promoting prostitution and trafficking for sexual servitude.
