Two 40-year-old Chattanooga men face federal indictments on charges involving conspiracy, kidnapping and sex trafficking.
A release from the Department of Justice's Eastern District of Tennessee Division says a federal grand jury indicted Corrie Gillespie and Willie Watkins on May 17th.
Both men appeared in Federal Court in Chattanooga on Friday, and both pleaded not guilty.
They both were put back into custody pending their next hearings. Gillespie will have a detention hearing on May 31st, and a hearing for Watkins has not been scheduled.
Prosecutors say Gillespie used the nicknames Tyme, BiggtymeChattanoogatyem, and Profit Tyme. Watkins used the nicknames Block Baker, Soldier, and Killer.
If convicted of kidnapping, Gillispie and Watkins face up to life in prison. If convicted of sex trafficking, Gillispie faces a term of not less than 15 years in prison and will be placed on the sex offender registry for a minimum of 25 years.
The Justice Department says this ongoing investigation is being conducted by the HSI, FBI and Chattanooga Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jay Woods represents the United States.
