LEBANON, TN: Man Charged in Sex Trafficking Case

Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained an indictment for a Wilson County man charged in connection with an ongoing sex trafficking investigation.

At the request of 15th District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, TBI Special Agents began investigating Travis Lamar Stargill on August 1, 2012. During the course of the investigation into sex trafficking, Agents developed information that on September 4, 2011, Stargill engaged in sexual intercourse with a minor female victim.

On Monday, the Wilson County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Stargill, 38, with one count of Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. He was arrested and booked at the Wilson County Jail today, where he is being held on a $2,500 bond. Stargill was previously indicted in May, 2014, on a charge of Aggravated Statutory Rape stemming from the same incident.
